Rest does things...

10 ROUNDS

10 ONE-ARMED DUMBBELL POWER SNATCHES (25#)
10 PISTOLS (SWITCHING LEGS)
10 GHD SIT UPS

I've only been working out once a week. The last time being the hug a twinkie day.

I programmed this myself. Inspired by the crazy regional wods posted. I'm quite proud that I didn't tap out. 100 reps of each is a lot.

When I called time I still had gas in my tank. I think all the rest has been pretty good to me.

Oh, I forgot... I did 3 front squats every minute on the minute for 10 minutes at 95#s which is about 87% of my 1RM. I should retest both my 1RM for Front squat and Back squat cause it felt kinda light.

I definitely think I stronger.

Another World

Strength:
Sumo Deadlift 3-3-3

Workout:
10 Handstand push-ups Pistols
15 Burpees GHD Sit-ups
20 Kettlebell swings (53/35) Box Jumps 20"
25 Deadlifts (185/135)
100 Double unders
25 Deadlifts
20 Kettlebell swings Box Jumps
15 Burpees GHD Sit-ups
10 Handstand push-ups Pistols

This was another WOD where I felt my clean eating. I'm super happy with my time. The deadlifts were tough. 50 reps total was very taxing and was the only thing that slowed me down. I got through the double unders pretty quickly, 3 sets of work. I haven't mastered bounding with a 20" box, but I think that's gonna come around in due time.

I wasn't really gassed when I called time, I def had more gas in the tank.

Programmed

AMRAP 16 min: - Results

8 Ring Dips

8 Pistols

8 Deadlifts (185/135)

I'm really happy with the work I did in this WOD. I felt rushed in the warm up, and wasn't too sure what weight I would use for the dead lifts. I warmed up with 77#s and it felt really light. Zeb called 1 min until GO! time, so I hastily stuck on 25# plates. I did 2 reps and it felt good, heavy, but doable. At that point I hadn't done the math of what my bar weighed... 3-2-1-Go!

The ring dips were worst part for me. I went to muscle failure every round. The pistols are never fun. I used a small box underneath me, since I can't get all the way to the ground just yet. When I got the the dead lift, it felt really fuckin' heavy. I wondered if I would be able to lift them in the future rounds.

It was good, challenging WOD. I definitely had more energy to keep going when time was called, but my arms were dead, if that makes any sense.

Super lazy

8 Rounds for time:

5 pistols, right leg

5 right legged box jumps, 20"/14"

5 pistols, left leg

5 left legged box jumps, 20"/14"

5 clapping push ups

I used a small box under me for my pistols. I used a 10" stack o plates for my one legged box jumps. And I subbed ring push ups for the clapping push ups cause my hand is still in a lot of pain when I put certain pressure on it.

My butt is already feeling a bit sore.

Sleepy. good night.

More is.... MORE!

Complete as many rounds as possible in seven minutes of:

Deadlifts

20 meter Sprint

14 One legged squats

21 Double-unders

I'm stoked. I know I should base my personal gains by comparing myself to what others put on the board, but isn't that the point of the board? Por ejemplo, I think that Jaime is way more advanced than me in many areas, and I exceeded her score... Granted, I don't know how she scaled the WOD, but knowing I got more work done in the same amount of time makes me feel good that I could keep with someone I feel is farther along in her fitness journey.

I did 105#s (which I wanted to do more, but Zeb told me to take easy) and I used a small box to do my pistols. The box was beneath my butt to catch me if I fell, which I did. From the seated position I still had to extend one leg out and stand straight up off of one leg; it was difficult. Double Unders are definitely my nemesis--- for now! I'm still doing that extra hop between each DU. G thinks it's now ingrained in my brain, like I've made a neurological pathway that now has to be broken and taught to do a DU w/o the hop. If I had DUs down I'd have easily 4 rounds in 7 mins for this WOD.

Today was a good day, not just in the box, but also at Dreamworks. I was called in to do a catering. I love the crew there. I think I say that every time I finish a shift. It's not work. John really wants to go to Animal in the next week or so. Excited about that. And he has a job lead that is temporary; an independent QA inspector whom runs her consult business was hired by Kaiser Hospital to do an overhaul of their facility.  Tomorrow I've got to shoot my resume over to him to forward to the DM.

Plus, I have to haul ass to San Gabriel Valley to murder a guy named Steve, who may have cost me several thousand dollars in earnings in my stock portfolio. Like really. I've fired that entire office. There is a way to rectify the offices boo-boo hopefully... I don't want to think about it cause it will get me all hot and bothered. *Serenity now, serenity now, serenity now* Ahhh.

Time to think of nothing.
